The Bi-luminite Colour System
The Compass Bi-luminite colouring system uses a dual-layer approach to create an amazing 3D effect when your pool is filled with water. You will be astounded by how much your pool sparkles in the sunlight. Not only will your pool look stunning, it also comes with an added layer of protection. Beneath the gelcoat surface layer, is a second colour layer made from high-quality vinyl ester resin, providing extra water-proofing protection for your pool’s structure. The gelcoat interior also plays its part by providing a durable surface and by protecting the underlying vinyl ester colour layer from direct exposure to sunlight. This will help your pool to maintain a consistent appearance as it ages, and to continue looking great throughout its lifetime. Learn more about the Bi-luminite technology here.
The Vivid Colour System
The Vivid range offers a wide selection of popular and vibrant colours. All Vivid pools are created using our exclusive large colour chips which are made in house. The use of these larger chips means that every Vivid Pool captures attention and becomes a centre piece of your back yard.
Your pool has a personality too!
Colour has the potential to become one of the most fundamental elements in your home. Colour is used to brighten up your mood, make your space look larger or smaller, or reflect more light.
‘The mood of the day reflects the colour of your pool’. What does this mean exactly? Simply put, the brighter the day, the brighter the water in your pool will look and the more overcast the day is the darker your pool will look. That being said, when you choose your pool colour it is important to keep in mind that your pool will throw a spectrum of colours, with and without the pool lights on.
Having a good understanding of ‘spectrum of colours’ will help you determine what will complement your current outdoor living area and how to choose your pool surrounds like pavers, fences and feature walls.
All Compass Pools use superior colouring technology
One of the reasons all Compass pools look so fantastic is our use of large reflective chips. While it is common for pool manufacturers to use glitter and small coloured particles when applying their gelcoat finish, we have managed to adapt our technology so that large chips can be applied.
Our technicians have developed a unique range of colour chips which are made by Compass and exclusively used on Compass pools. By adding these large reflective chips into the colour mix, you are left with a more dynamic looking pool that is enhanced by sunlight and water. Learn more about the colour chips in the below video.
